LR Met was established in 2024 to celebrate the arts and fashion scene in Little Rock. The event aims to create a culture of community and creativity, providing a platform for both established and up-and-coming talent in our city.

Each year the event coincides on the same date as the NYC Metropolitan Museum’s Met Gala and matches the theme of the Costume Institute’s exhibition. Mirroring the NYC Met Gala’s yearly theme allows for the showcasing of a diverse and ever-changing group of local designers, artists and stylists. It also provides an opportunity to partner with a charitable organization with relevance to that year’s theme.

The goal of LR Met is to raise awareness of the exceptional talent within Arkansas and give back to the community in a fresh and memorable way.
