Tailor-Made

An Evening of Art and Fashion

The LR Met: Tailor-Made event mirrored the 2025 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Met Gala exhibition, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." This theme explored the rich history and influence of Black dandyism, highlighting how Black individuals have used refined tailoring throughout the years to express identity and challenge societal norms.

The 2025 partnering charity was The Timmons Arts Foundation, which provides musical instruments, art supplies, and grants to Arkansas schools and arts programs. They believe in equal access to the cognitive and creative benefits that stem from a well-rounded education. The foundation uses charitable proceeds like ours to support developmental initiatives like the Cultivating the Arts Youth Summer Camp.

The historic Dreamland Ballroom was the ideal backdrop for our Tailor-Made event. The Dreamland Ballroom opened on the third floor of downtown Little Rock’s Taborian Hall in the 1930s as a premier venue on the famed “Chitlin’ Circuit,” hosting legends like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and B.B. King. The atmosphere is not only gorgeous, but one can also feel the history within its bones. We were honored to be able to host here and could not have imagined a more quintessential setting for the 2025 theme.

VIP guests were greeted with a glass of bubbly as they entered the ballroom for the VIP cocktail hour. The balcony lounge was exclusive for their use, giving them a birds eye view over the entire event. VIP gift bags included amazing goodies and promotions from local businesses. A custom VIP menu was served by At The House Catering, and guests mingled, sipped, and snapped photos as we screened Vogue’s Met Gala red carpet coverage in New York.

The runway event showcased the incredible work of Little Rock designers 22nd Element, Barakat Bespoke, Ndeed Regime, and Korto Momolu. Each collection was a jaw-dropping display of artistry and tailoring. We applaud all of the designers’ and models’ dedication in making this the most talked about moment of the evening.

At The House Catering provided an amazing custom “tailored” menu for both the VIP balcony and general admission. Last Call bartending served up a selection of wine and Lost 40 beers, as well as a specialty cocktail courtesy of Delta Dirt Distillery and Origami Sake. Southern Tail Brewing was on the scene pouring fresh brews. Guests could end their night with a delicious Smashed and Stack food truck burger, which really hit the spot after all the fun!

There were plenty of opportunities to be seen at Tailor-Made. Origami Sake sponsored a 360 Photobooth experience that captured every angle of guests’ outfits and energy. Donald Falls Photography was on scene taking studio quality portraits, providing truly special keepsakes for every attendee.

The night in full swing as guests served looks and socialized, catching up with old friends and making new ones. With the mood being set by DJ Kool Breeze, people couldn’t resist hitting the dance floor. It was truly a spectacular showing of community and creativity for the fashionable Little Rock scene. Special thanks to Kapture By Katrina for documenting such an incredible evening!
