Revival

An Evening of Art and Fashion

The LR Met: Revival event mirrored the 2024 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Met Gala exhibition, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion", which celebrated fragile, historically significant garments brought “back to life” through technology and storytelling. The dress code, “The Garden of Time,” was based off a poem by J. G. Ballard and inspired guests to interpret themes of ephemerality, nature, and the passage of time with elaborate botanical and time-bending fashion.

LR Met partnered with Meredith Corning Events to host this incredible event, raising funds for the CF Foundation. It was held at Jill White Designs’ renovated church space. The stained glass windows, paired with gorgeous flower installations by Tanarah Luxe Floral, set the stage for an impeccably styled event with ample opportunity for photo ops taken by the talented Lori Sparkman. Displays of fine artists’ and fashion designers’ work was on display, delicious small bites and drinks were served, while a projection of the Vogue NYC red carpet coverage streamed above it all.

The event was a stunning display of creativity and commitment, with guests embracing the theme in unforgettable ways. More than just a fashion experience, it fostered a deep sense of community, leaving attendees raving and eager for next year.

Guests walked a floral-laden red carpet, getting VIP treatment right from the start. Once inside they were greeted with the gorgeous floral installation by Tanarah Luxe, a backdrop ideal for a professional portrait by Lori Sparkman.

Fashionistas and designers showed out for the occasion. Korto Momolu created custom looks for Rochelle Johnson and Andi Chapell. The Souq Project & Barakat Bespoke suited Javon Wallace and Souq’s founder Nemo with their bespoke craftsmanship. Bryant Phelan was on hand with his luxurious one of a kind handbag designs. B.Barnett dressed AVA Models who were adorned with Laura B Luxury jewels and the fine art sculptural jewelry of Lydia Martin.

Vibrant Events Catering went above and beyond in their sumptuous custom menu, fulfilling every preference from sweet to savory with their delectable bites. Have Bar Will Travel was on the scene pouring drinks, and the welcome toast bubbly was generously provided by SO Restaurant.

On display were fine artists Jaird Minton with his contemporary abstracts and Tanya Hollifield with her modern portraiture. Stephen Wilson’s colorful creations of designer silk scarves complimented Ofaolian’s leather bespoke handbags perfectly, while Lydia Martin’s beautiful metalwork merged abstract sculpture with wearable art.

The night in full swing as guests served looks and socialized, catching up with old friends and making new ones. With the mood being set by DJ Jelly Bean. It was truly a spectacular showing of community and creativity for the fashionable Little Rock scene. Special thanks to Lori Sparkman and Weaver Films for documenting such an incredible evening!
